When a bike becomes a regular mean of transport, when every morning you wake up and have no doubts that this will be another sunny day, when at an eventide you start to smell some sort of sweet smell – mix of the rubbish people burn after the day and light on incense for the Hindu gods, when the sea is just right there and palm trees don’t seem exotic anymore, when just while lying on a beach you accidently see dolphins jumping in the waves, when fish and seafood almost become your daily dish, when cold water in the shower becomes a norm as well as knowing that showering in the afternoon will be warm, just because sun makes water warm in water tanks on rooftops, when you get used to meet every sunset with a cup of tea with milk and spices – masala chai, when clothes get light red-brown colour which is not possible to wash out, just because the land here is red, when fresh fruit juice is a daily thing, when a sound of a fan does not interrupt your sleep, when village people start to say hi, when cows on a road or on a beach don’t make you to rush to grab a camera and shoot a pic, when while lying on a beach you are surprised, but not shocked when a lady and her three brown eyed black haired daughters sit just almost on your towel and start a conversation with you (who cares that they don’t speak English and I cannot speak Konkani or Hindi), when every night on a beach bar full of candle lights you get a nice cocktail just to refresh yourself or just because, cause you can.
